Astro City #6 & #7: The Dark Age by Kurt Busiek
The Dark Age is the longest story arc in the Astro City series to date, clocking 16 issues. It's a great story despite suffering from a slight rhythm problem. It focuses on two brothers in a black neighbourhood of Astro City who suffered a traumatic event in their youth and how that event shapes their adult life. Again, Busiek focuses on non-super characters to paint his super world. This is also where the destiny of the Silver Agent is clarified. Good stuff, but a bit longwinded.
