Aux Fruits de la Passion by Daniel Pennac
This is the last novel in the original Malaussène series. I'd never read this one and while some of Pennac's mannerisms irritated me at first (then again that happens when you read all the books in a given series in quick succession) I got grabbed by it in the end. It's a fun little story, with the usual wackiness and endearing characters.
