Ms. Marvel #1-#19 by Amanat, Wacker, Wilson and Alphona
I have no background in the general Marvelverse or the particulars of Ms. Marvel, but that didn't stop me from enjoying this Ms. Marvel thoroughly. The powers of Ms. Marvel fall to a 16 year old Pakistani girl in Jersey City who has a hard time fitting in between loving but excessively anxious parents and the pressures of school. The comic explores teenager issues as well as action packed action. The tone is just right, generally light-hearted but with moments of moving depth. I'll keep reading for sure.
