Sylvain Luc / Jean-Michel Pilc live at the Hong Kong Arts Centre
I know Sylvain Luc's work tangentially, but had never heard Jean-Michel Pilc. Still, not much jazz to see in Hong Kong, so I thought I'd give this a chance and I'm glad I did. The music was overall much beyond my threshold of listenable jazz, but the constant interaction between the two virtuosos, their humour and the fact that most of the pieces were covers let me get into it nonetheless. I wouldn't listen to this kind of stuff at home, but I'd go see them live again !
