Hirune Hime
This is an anime movie that I wasn't sure I'd like. A teenage girl has vivid dreams which parallel some of her real life situations, especially concerning her long-dead mother and cagey father. When her father is arrested, she starts trying to unravel the mystery. The blend of dream and reality works surprisingly well for about 2/3 of the movie and then completely breaks down in the end. I guess for those used to the occasionally weird stuff in Anime this wouldn't be as annoying as it was to me. Still, altogether an interesting movie with a compelling story.
