Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy
Considering the stellar cast in this movie, I was fully expecting to love it and... I didn't. The actors are great, don't get me wrong, and Oldman in particular is superb. But amidst the careful reconstruction and the great cast, there's a complicated plot that the movie simply fails to convey. There's no pacing of the revelations: you understand nothing until the very end of the movie (and neither are you meant to), and then suddenly it's over and the bad guy is in jail. The 1979 TV Series with Alec Guiness is in this respect far superior. I don't recommend the movie.
