Cool Blues by Lou Donaldson & Grant Green
What sold me on this record was actually the presence of Jack McDuff and drummer Joe Dukes. It's a nice record, steeped in its era. I didn't hear much Grant Green, but I was surprised at how stiff his style is. I was expecting much more loose swing. It's a fine record as I said, but nothing really stands out.
