L'Appel du Chien Fantôme by Sacha Derien
This is the second novel by Sacha Derien, and it builds on one of the characters from the first novel, Commissaire Dunaud, who is confronted to a series of meticulously staged murders as well as some baffling jewelry store robberies. Derien has a talent for creating likeable characters and pushing his stories forward. The crime intrigue is well thought out. My only small gripe is that book would have benefited from a tighter writing style. Still, a good Parisian crime novel if you're so inclined.
