Ruins by Peter Kuper
This big graphic novel in gorgeous naive colour style tells the story of a couple who take advantage of his layoff and her sabbatical to go to Oaxaca, Mexico for a year. The official reason is for her to focus on writing her book, but really it's about their relationship and where it's going. I won't say more except to say that it's a great story in a style that I tend to associate with the 70s but works great here. Recommended if you like "real-life" stories.
