Lumberjanes 1: Beware the Kitten Holy by Shannon Watters, Grace Ellis, Brooke A. Allen and Noelle Stevenson

A few pages into this book about girl scouts exploring a forest where weird stuff is definitely happening, I couldn't help but think this was a primary inspiration for Melville's Summer Camp. This first volume is still a little hesitant, with characters a bit fuzzy around the edges, but it's wacky and funny, enough that I was happy I got volume 2 at the same time I got volume 1.
