The Big Sick is a romantic comedy that's exactly how romantic comedies should be: the romance is both at the heart of it, and at the same time that's not what the movie is about. I was expecting more prejudice on screen based on the trailer, but as it stands it's just right. We had great fun watching this. Kumail Nanjiani is a real talent, and the fact this is based on a true story makes it even better. Strongly recommended.
