Chew TPBs #1-#12 by John Layman and Rob Guillory
I have finally put my hands on the complete Chew and read it from start to finish. This improbable story is truly a delight, as often exhilarating as it is disturbing. In many ways Chew is a superhero story, only all superheroes in Chew have food related abilities. As the series progresses, the powers we hear about get wilder and wilder. Like many good stories, Chew was clearly scripted from the start which means we get not one but two strong endings, with a nice twist on the very last page. It also manages to stay lighthearted yet expose some truly heart-wrenching moments, especially in the final third. I thoroughly enjoyed it and would recommend it to anyone (unless you're sensitive about food and cannibalism...)
