HarmonQuest Season 1

HarmonQuest Season 1

This is the first ever (as far as I'm aware) live audience RPG game with animation on top. One GM, three regular players and a host of guest players for each of the ten sessions of the show. I didn't know what to expect and found it surprisingly enjoyable despite the very pedestrian and railroady (not to mention nonsensical at times) story. The idea of illustrating what's going on around the table with Rick & Morty style cartoons is good. The tone is (very) light hearted, with lots of sexual innuendo, but the players are funny, the characters are too and the whole thing just works. It's funny to see how as the season progresses the audience seems more and more involved, cheering, booing, etc. Most interestingly for me, the concept of RPG as performance art suddenly makes sense.
