Face to Face by Freddie Hubbard & Oscar Peterson
With the exception of his albums with Count Basie and Louis Armstrong, I hadn't listened to any of Oscar Peterson's collaborations. Collaborating with a stellar jazzman of his own generation gives Oscar's music a kick forward towards a more modern sound, and it's really exciting as a consequence. I wouldn't rank it at the top of Oscar's discography, but it's worth a listen.
