Goin' Platinum! by Robert Finley
I bought this on the recommendation of a trusted record store owner (yes, some still exist). He framed is as blues whereas I'd frame it as raucous classic soul. Either way, it's really good stuff, deep, playful at times with great arrangements. Finley doesn't have one of these silky voices, and neither is he a shouter, but he's got his own thing going, and it really works. Highly recommended if you like your soul to sound a little vintage.
