Dara and Ed's Great Big Adventure
This is one of those weird concepts that somehow works. Irish comedians Dara O'Briain and Ed Byrne share a car to drive down a portion of the Panamerican Highway from Nevada to Panama. They discover the lives of people along the highway, following the footsteps of a 1941 expedition before the highway ever existed. They crack jokes, wax lyrical and occasionally get serious. It's lighthearted but makes you want to grab your car and follow that road. Not a monument of TV but a surprising pleasant couple of hours of viewing.
