And the Great Unknown by Bror Gunnar Jansson
I really wanted to like this modern proto-blues. It's got a roughness I should like, and steers far enough away from traditional forms that it should be enjoyable. But there's something that just doesn't work and I'm hard pressed to put my finger on it. I clearly am not a fan of Jansson high pitched rough voice, which feels forced to me, but that's probably not the only thing that grates. Oh well, I suppose, after a few listens, I'll just have to get used to being dissappointed. Can't win them all.
