The Lady in the Van

The Lady in the Van

I love Maggie Smith, but then again who doesn't. We watched this one on Netflix with my wife and while it's definitely on the "odd" side of the spectrum it's also very humanistic and moving. It's inspired from a real life story of playwright Alan Bennet who had a homeless woman living in a van for 15 years in his front yard. Smith is mindblowingly good, and this slow paced story of tolerance and irritation is endearing.
