The Furthest Station by Ben Aaronovitch
This is a novella and while it doesn't advance the overall plot much, it does give a slightly larger role (that will continue going on) to Peter's cousin Abigail and goes in-depth on the ecology of ghosts in Rivers of London. The pacing of the plot is a little disappointing though, finished nearly before it begins.
