Dans le Monde by Les Doigts de l'Homme
I first discovered Les Doigts de l'Homme through a track from this album, but I couldn't get my hands on the album itself. I bought their other records, and followed their evolution from gipsy on steroids to a more thoughtful, world oriented jazz. But when they released this album for a pittance on their bandcamp this summer I purchased it immediately. It's an exhilarating marvel of breakneck pace tunes. The fun and joy of it shines through from start to finish. And sure, I like (nay love) where they have gone musically these days, but that doesn't mean I can't also enjoy their wild youth!
