In Times Like This by Rev. Sekou

The intersection of southern gospel, blues and rock is fertile yet hasn't been much explored, at least not convincingly. It's not surprising that the brothers Dickinson of NMAS fame are producing this project. But the North Missisipi Allstars always lacked a decent vocalist, and Rev. Sekou sure is a singing preacher in the best tradition. This is resistance music of the best sort, enhanced with choir, horns and lap steel guitar. Magnificent.
