Klez n' Zazou by Gefilte Swing
Purchased this record on a whim, thinking that a blend of klezmer and early swing could hardly go wrong. It did. I'm not a musical expert, but while the music has the trappings of swing, I heard very little swing here. The music feels stiff and unconvincing. It's one of those juxtapositions that doesn't blend. Oh well, you can't win everytime.
