L1VE by Haken

L1VE by Haken

Haken's music is so intricate and (I suppose) written that the very notion of a live album might not make a whole lot of sense. And there is no doubt that the versions presented here don't differ much from the album versions. But there is a different energy, and an evident joy from the band in L1VE that actually makes it a very fun live album to listen to. It's also potentially a good sampler for Haken's music if you don't know the band but the idea of a highly technical progressive rock that verges towards metal appeals to you.
