March #1-3 by Lewis, Aydin and Powell
This three volume graphic novel is a story of the struggle for civil rights in the early 60s, culminating with Selma to Montgomery marches in 1965. I thought I knew a bit about the civil rights era, but it turns out I knew very little. This truly is an important read, and in graphic novel format it is a lot more accessible than it would have been in written form. I'm not blown away by the artwork, but it does the job, which I guess is the purpose here. A must read.
