Vector by Haken
Another album I'd missed. Released last year, it's classic Haken, not surprising or unduly original, I suppose, but super effective. It's still this combination of super heavy sound with graceful vocals and interesting lyrics. This one is a concept album, centered around a mental asylum. Not the cheeriest of topics but hey, this is progressive metal, what do you expect ? Not quite on par with The Mountain which remains my favourite by a long stretch, but a damn good album if you're into that kind of music.
