Bonerama Plays Zeppelin
Bonerama is a New Orleans rock band that has a particular feature: a trombone section. They play a lot of covers in their live shows, and this album is all Led Zeppelin covers. The trombone section works quite well at emulating the heavy Zeppelin riffs, although at times I wish the arrangements were a little more inventive. Truth be told we're in similar territory to Brown Sabbath, but where the Texans have horns and latin beats to stray away from the original material, Bonerama sometimes seems to struggle. Still, a couple of more inventive covers do save the day.
