Script for a Jester's Tears by Marillion

Script for a Jester's Tears by Marillion

There a few albums that I have bought and sold. And bought again. This is one of them. I have fond memories of this, but sold it so at some point must have gotten bored with it. Revisiting it was worth it if only for the title track. The lyrics are wonderful and while it's a little synth heavy for my tastes, it's soaring, deep and progressive. The rest veers a little too easily towards the cheap romantic, more on the Genesis side than on the King Crimson side. Still, there are moments of grace and moments of power that are worth it. I don't think I'll be selling it again.
