Valse Bohémienne by Aurore Voilqué
I had heard quite a bit about violinist Aurore Voilqué, a rising star of the French gypsy jazz scene. But then I'm ambiguous about violin in music. The participation of Angelo Debarre won me over, and I don't regret it. What I didn't expect is that she was such a great singer, but the fact is she's a great violinist too. The album is delightful, maybe a bit too much on the romantic side for my tastes, but that's nitpicking. Great stuff.
