Le Dieu Vagabond by Fabrizio Dori
This graphic novel was recommended by my friend Magali and a good recommendation it was. Eustis may look like a homeless guy living in a sunflower field, but he's really a satyr who was cursed back in ancient times and lost his way. Until he helps a ghost find his way back to the hanged man's house and meets... a figure from his past. That sends him on a quest to grant the moon a long awaited last night with her deceased lover and redeem himself. Steeped in ancient greek myth, poetic, beautiful, whimsical, Le Dieu Vagabond is all of these things. At times it reminded me of Eddie Campbell's Bacchus, in a less wacky vein. It's really a beautiful book, highly recommended.
