In Staged, David Tennant and Michael Sheen play themselves, trying to keep the rehearsals for a play going despite COVID Lockdown and a somewhat unassertive young director. Apart from a few shots of Britain with no one about as transitions, it's entirely filmed on video-conversations. It's erudite and hilarious, ambitious and a little bit deeper than it might seem at first. Most of all it's brilliant acting with some pretty cool cameos here and there (and both of their wives playing their wives) and brilliant writing. It's was the best possible way for me to have started my own personal lockdown. Bring on the rehearsals!
