Wicked Little Letters

I really like Olivia Colman, and I had spotted Wicked Little Letters when it came out. We finally had a chance to see it, and while it's not an earth shattering movie, it's a very interesting exploration of the condition of women in post WW1 Britain, without necessarily seeming to be. The movie focuses on the (genuine) story of a community being shook by scandalous letters being sent to various inhabitants. A recently emigrated Irish woman is being blamed. While the theme is quite a common one in fiction, the treatment here is both relatively light hearted and clever. A good movie.
