The Dark Third by Pure Reason Revolution

I was intrigued by Pure Reason Revolution based on a track I heard on the interwebs. The Dark Third was recommended as a good entry point, especially since subsequent albums feature more electro, and I struggle with electronic music. This one doesn't have any... but didn't particularly work for me. The Pink Floyd influences are obvious, but it's more the Gilmour era dad rock Pink Floyd than the 70s progressive band I love. Truth be told, I found the Dark Third boring, maybe acceptable as background music, but when you're this close to the elevator, you might be labelled elevator music.
