Bride Stories 15 by Kaoru Mori

I had been waiting a while now for the narrative arc that is at the heart of this 15th volume to soar, and I can safely say it was worth the wait. Henry Smith and Talas finally make it across the waters back to England. There, of course, Smith's family is more than shocked that he would have "chosen" a foreign woman as his bride to be and they get semi-ostracised. But wedding preparations is the theme of this installment, and while we (as usual) get glimpses of other characters and stories looking towards wedding, the core story finally moves forward, with the last chapter leaving us in the company of Smith and Talas on their way to Scotland, where marriage laws are freer than in England... Magnificent throughout, I hate having to wait for the next one another year...
