Anya's Ghost by Vera Brosgol

Anya's Ghost by Vera Brosgol

My daughter bought this at a flea market and I read it with some enjoyment. It's classic in its themes and targets a YA audience in the throes of early love and figuring out how to socialise, but still quite fun. Anya is a teenage girl who frets about her appearance and integration in high school. One day, as she storms away from school and walks into a nearby park, she falls into a manhole where she meets a ghost. The ghost, that of a young girl apparently her age tells her of how she was murdered. The ghost follows Anya about and starts helping her to fit in school and get better grades... I won't say anymore for fear of spoiling, but let's just say it's a good teenage graphic novel, and might even be enjoyed by parents.
