Did you hear what Eddie Gein done? by Schechter and Powell

The starting point of this documentary graphic novel is the movie Psycho by Alfred Hitchcock. Psycho was an adaptation of a Robert Bloch novel, which itself was based on a true horrendous series of crimes that rocked the USA in the 50s. Eddie Gein murdered several old women and dug up several more from their graves in a grisly series of rituals which you'll have to read the book to find out. Well documented and powerful, this is documentary comics at its best. While the topic is sensationalistic, the treatment of the story is not, or at least not too much. Highly recommended if you can stomach the themes.
