Gotham Central by Ed Brubaker and Greg Rucka vol 3 & 4
The last two TPBs of Gotham Central, despite some personnel change, confirm the high level of quality of this series. As with the first two, I'm not getting all the references to the DC-verse or the Batman-verse, but it doesn't really matter as this remains, at heart, a cop drama where the protagonists operate under the shadows of looming powers they have no control over. These two books focus primarily on the duo of Montoya and Allen, really well developed characters. It ends on a very bleak note, in line with the rest of the series. Great stuff.
