Serenity
Serenity is the closing chapter of Firefly, a single movie with the arduous task of tying up maybe not all, but the main loose threads of the prematurely ended TV series. And let's be clear, it does not succeed. But it's still an endearing movie, and if you like the characters, you get just enough time to tell them goodbye. While the pacing is all kinds of rushed, and many things are left puzzling for lack of exposition, there is a story, it is a momentous one, and it manages to pack a mean emotional punch which I didn't think the movie could pull off. So while it's far from a masterpiece, I'm still glad it's there and the franchise is better off having had a conclusion of sorts.
