Moe's Town by Uncle Moe's Space Ranch
This was an accidental discovery if ever there was one. I was watching an interview of Stanley Jordan on Rick Beato's channel and thought that while I found his technique incredible (and unique, I thought) I didn't much like his music, too soppy for me. So I searched around to see if other guitarists used the same technique and stumbled upon this album which features TJ Helmerich on guitar. It's a fusion album with an electronica influence although the actual electronics are kept to a minimum, which suits me fine. I think there's a connection with Tribal Tech, which I struggle with a lot more. Anyway, this is a heavy sounding album, which brings its fusion roots close to prog rock, or even prog metal at times, and it's really good, fast and furious most often. I'll have to check their other releases.
