C'est Quoi l'Amour ?

A comedy about love that's not a romantic comedy. Marguerite (Laure Calamy) and Frédéric fell in love as teenagers, married young, had a daughter and promptly divorced. Nearly 20 years later, they are both in stable relationships, but Frédéric wants to remarry and his partner wants a religious wedding. The problem is that despite their civil divorce, you cannot remarry religiously unless the initial marriage is annulled. Launching this annulment procedure leads both of them to question the relationship they had, and the ones they have. C'est Quoi l'Amour ? walks a fine line with gusto, managing to be both very funny and quite moving. The humour is more subtle than you'd imagine, and I really enjoyed the movie.
