Maybe Someday by Marsh Dondurma

Marsh Dondurma releases EPs more than albums these days, and maybe that's for the best. Their high intensity ethnic-brass style usually falters at some point across 10-12 tracks, but keeps up across 6. Maybe Someday is actually a bit more mellow, and possibly more contemplative than previous releases, as highlighted by the opener Fluences, but it's really good, with its dose of fun. The title track in particular, and the really clever cover of the Beatles' Blackbird that closes the EP offer that infectious release. If you love brass music, you can't really go wrong with this, and while Maybe Someday possibly doesn't peak as high as New Flavours or Between Times, it's solid and enjoyable.
