Carolina Confessions by the Marcus King Band
Discovering The Markus King Band self-titled album had been a real treat in 2017, southern rock enhanced with horns with a heavy dollop of soul. Carolina Confessions is in the same vein although a little more soul and a little less rock, which means the previous album keeps my preference. With King's insane talent on guitar, it's a shame to not hear more of his electric work, as good as the rest sounds. Still, good music. But if you have to choose between that and the previous one, you know which one I'd pick.
