Grass Kings v1 by Matt Kindt and Tyler Jenkins
Encouraged by Mind MGMT I started exploring other Kindt titles. Grass Kings is very different, although it riffs on another American classic genre, that of the self sustained community. In Grass Kings that community is threatened by the sheriff of a nearby town with an axe to grind while the head of the authartic town drowns his sorrows in alcohol. Quite compelling, very enticing graphically (with Kindt exploring watercolors) and exciting. Will want to read the rest.
