Uri Tupka and the Gods by Mike Mignola

Uri Tupka and the Gods by Mike Mignola

I loved Bowling with Corpses, Mignola's collection of loose stories all set in the Sword & Sorcery setting of the Lands Unknown. Uri Tupka and the Gods is the second book in the series, and the first installment of a two-part story (the second part is due later in 2026). It's a little less all over the place than Bowling with Corpses, because we follow the path of Uri Tupka, a cursed theologian looking for the Old Gods while many enemies try to prevent him from doing so. While slightly more linear, Uri Tupka and the Gods still relies on discursive framing like nested stories, and is a good continuation of the first installment, though possibly slightly less memorable. Can't wait for the next one though.
