The Phoenician Scheme
Similar yet different is how I'd describe virtually every Wes Anderson movie I've seen. Asteroid City had been a disappointment though, there was no substance amongst the gorgeous form, not even an inkling of a story. The Phoenician Scheme doesn't deliver much more depth, but at least it delivers a story, in a classic adventure kind of way. There are even elements of fairy tales in the repetition of motifs that I found quite nice. It's no Grand Budapest Hotel or Isle of Dogs, but it's a good and enjoyable one nonetheless.
